My ears have been plugged for almost 3 months because I have been really struggling with allergies. I'm not sure what's going on out there, but I've never had allergies so bad that started Nov 2019 through now. I'm mowing the lawn in the middle of winter which is unheard of It's just all a bit weird, and it's really hard on my body. I started having dizzy spells, and I feel like I'm yell talking because I can't hear. Intuitively I was getting messages about ear wax removal systems. I was thinking there was fluid in my ears, and I never thought about wax being impacted. I had been using a steroid nasal spray, but it says not to use it more than 3 days or your body will get addicted to it. It did help but things would just come back. Anyway, after searching online I thought this would be the best option based on reviews I was reading. I already drank distilled water everyday so I had it on hand. I made sure it was warm and I had a flexible tip. You sort of have to get it just right since it's a sensitive ear area so you really don't want it too hot, but the water cools off quickly and it's not a good idea to spray cool water in the ear. I really didn't know what I was doing I just put the tip in there and was testing it out not pressing too hard on the handle and gaining confidence as I was using it. I actually was doing it with my ear facing down. I cannot believe what came out of my ear it is the grossest thing I've ever seen! A huge chunk of mostly black and brown wax the size of my fingertips. I immediately could hear a little better in that ear. I also had tiny pieces come out of that ear and the other ear. I made the mistake of sending my ex-husband a picture of what came out since he knew I've been struggling for months. He's like, "Why did you send me that?" I explained because he was an ex. Lol. Anyway, I couldn't finish the water I had in the bottle because it was getting too cold and it was irritating my ears. I definitely wouldn't pull the trigger super hard because it's just a really vulnerable area. I would recommend doing ear wax drops a few days prior to get things to soften up. Many places online including doctors recommend that. Doing the drops a few times a day and letting them sit in there a few minutes in each ear. But I can tell my ears are incredibly vulnerable right now. I read it can remove the protective wax that is needed, so I would put cotton in your ears if you're going to be out in the wind or around heavy pollen. Even though it is warm now the allergies are bad and flying around, and I'm going to put cotton in my ears when I'm mowing the grass because I don't need any more issues in there. Even doctors said you could be more vulnerable to ear infections after doing this so be careful after until your body can do what it needs to do and have the regular wax get back in there that is needed for a protective layer. I would absolutely make sure everything is sterile. You don't want to be getting germs in your ear canal just like you don't want germs in a neti pot since people have died from that from organisms getting up in their brain. I've been doing neti pot salt water flushes as well. This was sure worth the money, and I still can't get over what came out of my ear! Also, I read a reviewer say she had to go to urgent care because the little end part came off and went into her ear from the force of the spray. Make sure you screw it on and twist it. If I didn't read the directions I would have just placed it on top and that could have happened to me. I definitely would read the directions as they are very helpful and informative. So impressed with this product I had to write a review immediately! One tip: I recommend using in conjunction with ear wax removing drops as instructed with the product. So easy to use, and it completely CLEARED my ear. I had been having problems hearing in my ear, and the ear wax removal drops alone were just not working to clear the wax build up. This was recommended by a friend, so I ordered it and gave it a try. Completely cleared the wax from my ear, and now my ear feels so much better and free and clear of any wax. HIGHLY recommend this if you are struggling with wax build up, and you don’t want to be jamming a q-tip in your ear way. This WILL flush your ear. No pain and no discomfort either. EXCELLENT product. Now, let’s make them in the USA.I advise using ear drops prior to irrigation. The wax will flush out more easily if it is soft. This is very easy to use and works like a charm. Pretty much fool proof.I use these drops available here on Amazon.https://www.amazon.com/Debrox-Drops-Earwax-Removal-drops/dp/B00ANL4Z4I/ref=sr_1_6?crid=XM35NPA6Z3OV&keywords=debrox+earwax+removal+drops&qid=1662327725&sprefix=Deb%2Caps%2C82&sr=8-6I got this because I am sick of going to ENT every 6-12 months for removal. This is uncomfortable and awkward but it workedThis did the job and didn’t have to go to the Dr.!Easy to use, reasonable costSo one day I went to the doctor for something else and I mentioned that my ears felted clogged also. So they looked at my ears and decided to flush them as they seen wax build up. I've never had this done before but I have had a weird string of back to back ear infections which was probably the cause. So anyway, I realized all they did was use a spray bottle with an attachment on the tip. Well I decided I could probably purchase one myself and I found this here. I had read reviews before purchasing and saw many mention mixing in a little hydrogen peroxide. I have tried both ways - just plain warm water and warm water mixed in with some hydrogen peroxide. Mixing with hydrogen peroxide in works WAY better. When I used just warm water, nothing ever really came out. When I use the mixture, I get a lot put. I know some may not know which way to point the nozzle, but I just place a q-tip in my ear to figure out which direction I should be spraying the nozzle and it works. I highly recommend this. I'll save you from seeing my pictures though as their is many good examples already shown.Using this product was average at best. I think maybe I expected too much from it but at least it made the wax in my ear moist so that I can take it out with a different device. I was expecting the wax to fall out into the bin. Other than that, it was pretty easy to use.Excellent and useful poduct. Easy to use and very safe and effective!!
