TL;DRNeat little cleaner that suctions to your windows and handles regular maintenance well using water and a microfiber cloth. Only works on vertical surfaces. Very convenient—This little machine is fantastic for clean window maintenance. As a bit of a gadget geek, I grabbed one as soon as I saw it. Limitations: First of all, it only works on windows from 0 degrees to 90. Anything that would require the machine to be more than vertical doesn’t work, per the instructions. It’s also got a very small water reservoir (60 mL, it looks like), though it only sprays intermittently, so water usage is teensy, but keep that in mind. It doesn’t officially let you use anything other than water, but the results are pretty good even with just that. Finally, it’s best on windows that just have the usual daily dirt on them, since the cleaning mechanism is just running a damp cloth over the glass. If you have years of grime or mineral deposits on your windows, this isn’t going to make a dent in it.With that said, I mostly use this on sliding doors that have spotting on them. My sister hates having windows that aren’t clear and has spent hours trying to get the water spots off, to no avail, so I knew this would probably not clean them off, either, but it does a pretty good job of getting the windows clean. I use regular refrigerator-filtered water (our tap water is pretty hard in CA) and it works well, enough to satisfy my sister. There’s a clear (no pun intended) difference between cleaned and uncleaned windows.The instruction booklet is a tome, but ultimately, it’s easy to use this machine. No app is necessary, thankfully. Just plug it in, test out the sprayers, make sure the cloth is attached, thenBecause I’m a worrier, I stick around and keep an eye on the little guy—and hang on to the other end of the safety rope, just in case. The first time I used it, I left too little slack and it struggled a bit to finish the bottom of the window, so I just stand there and let out line as it needs it. It hasn’t fallen yet, so maybe I’ll walk away someday soon. It’s fun to watch, too, so maybe I’ll keep doing it.Anyway, this little robot makes a boring, physical maintenance job easier. Totally worth getting.
